In addition to a full time USAC Sprint Car
schedule that had him in the seat at 44 national and 30 local events in '06, Mat Neely took over the full time driving duties
of the RWMS #17 cars with a 9th place finish at ORP in Cleremont, IN on 8/3/06. From there he went on to post 5
top 10 finishes in seven starts and is set for his first full season of Silver Crown action with RWMS. The
highlight of the '06 season came on 9/24 when Mat lapped up to the 6th place car at Eldora Speedway to become the 2006 winner
of the prestigous Mopar Thunder at the Four Crown Nationals.
Before joining the RWMS team, he basically started
himself out racing with the support of family and friends in 2003 and has shown the ability to not only win, but to be consistent
in the ultra-competitive USAC National Sprint Series posting 31 top 10’s in 52 races in ’05.
